Short Biography
Dr. Cheung holds a Ph.D. in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). In her doctoral research, she explored psychological stress among women experiencing reproductive failure. She identified a lack of supportive services tailored to meet the psychological needs of these women. Motivated by a deep-seated compassion for enhancing women's mental well-being, Dr. Cheung furthered her academic pursuits by completing a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at CUHK.
As a Clinical Psychologist at CUHK, Dr. Cheung works closely with OG specialists to provide holistic care to patients. Additionally, she is the vice-president of the Hong Kong Reproductive Nurse and Counselor Association and a member of the working committee of the Psychology and Counseling Special Interest Group at the Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Cheung actively contributes to clinical psychology research. Her ongoing research interest is the examination of stress-spectrum pathologies associated with reproductive failure.
