Pregnancy Rate
** The numbers given below are only general numbers, and are for reference only. Each individual's condition is different, and getting pregnant is a complicated process, so focus should not be solely put on the numbers. In addition, there are many different ways to calculate the so-called "success rate", so caution must be taken when comparing these numbers.
The average success rate of OI/IUI is about 10-15% per cycle. The maximum cumulative success rate of up to 30-40% will be reached in 4-6 cycles.
The pregnancy rate after IVF/ET is about 30% per cycle with a cumulative success rate of 60% after 3-6 treatment cycles. The success rate is subject to variable factors and reduces significantly with increasing female age. Female patients with poor ovarian reserve or repeated treatment failures also have much lower success rate. The pregnancy rate for frozen thawed embryo replacement is about 25% per cycle.
Multiple Pregnancy
The multiple pregnancy rate of OI/IUI is about 15% per cycle, whereas the multiple pregnancy rate after IVF/ET is about 20%. These are usually twins, and around 5% are triplets.

Miscarriage Rate
Biochemical pregnancy or spontaneous abortion may occur in about 20% of cases. Miscarriage increases with advanced maternal age and in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Ectopic Pregnancy Rate
An average of 5% of pregnancies after ART result in pregnancy outside the womb (ectopic pregnancy). These pregnancies cannot survive and require surgical removal.
